MY STORY

Cecelia has earned her Associates Degree in General Studies, she also has received certificates in Child Care Administration, Medical Assistant, Polysomnography, Tax Preparations and Physician coding, COAAA & BLS.

She has 12 years of direct patient care experience as a certified Nursing Assistant working throughout Northeastern Ohio with geriatric patients who suffered from dementia and long-term conditions. She has also worked on skill units and at assisted living facilities.

After acquiring patient care experience, she went on to learn the administrative side of patient plan of care.  She took a job as a float unit secretary working in ICU, Mental Health on locked units, Orthopedic Surgery and step down, Medical and Occupational/Physical Therapy Rehabilitation.  She served 12 years on the job at Marymount Hospital, in Garfield Heights, Ohio. She was known for being well-organized and efficient as a team member communicating to all ancillary departments for processing admissions, transfers, discharges and inputting physician orders. Cecelia took on greater challenges that required her to make critical decisions within the hospital setting.  As bed allocation officer, she was responsible for assigning beds to all new admissions, hospital post op, ICU step-down, rehab in-house transfers and discharges plus she was responsible for initiating transport and housekeeping.

Her curiosity grew enormously, so she then accepted a temporary position at University Hospital of Cleveland, Ohio where she worked in Pediatric Cardiology assisting staff with appointments, medical filing and preparing residency patient conferences. Because Cecelia was well-organized and efficient, it led to a position being created for her as Pediatric Cardiac Cath lab Coordinator.   Her job involved patient medical record retrieval for pre- cath procedures, scheduling cath, echo and stress tests, managing the stock room and ordering supplies. She also was coverage person for the echo/stress test lab.

In 2018 she joined University Hospital Department of Hospice in Warrensville Heights, Ohio as a temporary team assistant. Within six months she was hired on permanent as team administrator. Her responsibilities included assigning home care aides to their hospice patients out in the field, preparing their work schedule, processing admissions and communicating the needs of patients to ancillary departments.

Her current job is with University Hospital Rehabilitation Hospital, in Beachwood, Ohio. She is the medical secretary for the facility, processing all new admissions, in-house transfers and discharges. She schedules transportation for in-house patients to and from outpatient dialysis and their doctor appointments, filed and checked patient charts to ensure nursing personnel transcribed physician orders.

Cecelia's compassion for geriatric care grew strong as she spent countless hours with her patients and watched them pass on. She enjoyed listening to their stories and meeting their needs and expectations.  It was the smiles she received upon their faces that drove her from day to day.  She received an employee of the month plaque for good service in 1998.  Her mission is to care for those that can't care for themselves in the same way she loves those of kin.  She observed throughout those years that many geriatric patients were left on their own. It bothered her intensely, but it instilled in her the desire to one day make a difference in their life.

Cecelia is happily married to Pastor Norris Bolden, and a mother of two step children, Desmond and Julian Bolden.

" I'm always looking forward to the opportunity to enlightened  the eyes of the heart in others.  Let's connect."
